Welcome!
At First Baptist Oxford we are a church that loves God and desires to help people connect with fellow believers.
It makes no difference if you are new to church or have been a Christian for many years, going to a new church for the first time can be uncomfortable. That's why we want to help make your first experience at First Baptist Oxford a great one!
Where do I park and enter?
Parking:
Turn right off of East Choccolocco Street onto McCain Street and into the parking lot. The large parking lot on the right is for the church and is also used by the Oxford Performing Arts Center.
When Do You Meet?
Life Groups 9:00am
Life Groups (what we used to call “Sunday School”) are small groups of people that do life together every day of the week and not just on Sundays. We have Life Groups for all ages and can help you find a group you will fit into.
Worship Service 10:30am
Our Worship Service is a multi-generational mix of people who come to Worship the Lord in a contemporary style. The music is band and praise team driven. We spend time in prayer, singing and praising our God and Savior, listening to a message from our Pastor, and a time to respond.
What Do I Wear?
Everyone wears what they are comfortable in. The majority of people wear casual clothing but you will see everything from jeans and t-shirts to dresses and dress-pants.
What about My Kids?
Kids Ministry
Our Kids Ministry consists of:
Preschool Department: Babies through Kindergarten
FirstKids: 1st through 4th Grades
Hangar 56: 5th and 6th Grades
We meet on Sundays for Life Groups at 9:00am and join the Adults for Worship in the Worship Center at 10:30.
With one exception: We meet for FirstWorship on the first Sunday of every month! After the Worship Time, All Kids ages 1st grade - 6th grade leave the Worship Center and head out for their own time of Bible Study with our FirstKids Director: Audrey Krier.
Student Ministry:
Our Student Ministry is for 7th - 12th graders. We have students from several different area schools and encourage everyone to come and bring a friend. We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am for Life Groups and join the adults for Worship in the Worship Center.
